RE: Similkameen Valley Planning Society (SVPS)
ISSUE/PURPOSE
To receive additional information from the Similkameen Valley Planning Society (SVPS) regarding
their funding request for 2026.
RECOMMENDATION
THAT Council receive the presentation and information from the Similkameen Valley Planning
Society, and the matter be addressed at the July 20th, 2026 regular Council meeting.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
In response to Council’s request for further information and the opportunity to ask questions of the
SVPS, a Committee of the Whole (COTW) meeting has been convened to hear from the Society. All
materials are attached to the COTW agenda and will be presented by Simone Carlyse-Smith, Tourism
Services Manager for the SVPS. Following the meeting, the matter can be considered for a decision
at the regular Council meeting that follows.

The Village of Keremeos council will consider adopting Bylaw No. 870 for a centrifuge loan authorization. A BYLAW TO ADOPT THE FINANCIAL PLAN
FOR THE YEARS 2026 THROUGH 2030
Municipal Council of the Village of Keremeos, in open meeting assembled, enacts as follows:
AND WHEREAS pursuant to section 166 of the Community Charter, Council must undertake a
process of public consultation regarding the proposed financial plan before it is adopted;
1. The Financial Plan for the Village of Keremeos for the years 2026 through 2030, as shown on
Schedule "A" attached to and forming part of this bylaw, is hereby adopted.
2. The Revenue Policy & Objectives Disclosure Requirements, as shown on Schedule "B"
attached to and forming part of this bylaw, are hereby adopted.
