Oro-Medonte Council will decide on three zoning by-law amendments recommended by the Development Services Committee. The changes affect rural properties in South Orillia and Medonte, altering land-use rules for residential development.

Call to Order:
The Township of Oro-Medonte acknowledges that we are situated on the
traditional land of the Anishnaabek (A- nish- in- aa- beh) people, and
ancestral territory of the Huron-Wendat. The Anishnaabek include the Odawa
[Oh-DAH-wah], Ojibwe [O-jib-we] and Pottawatomi [boh-tah-WAH-toh-mee]
nations, collectively known as the Three Fires Confederacy. It continues
today as the home for diverse Indigenous Peoples including the historic
Métis Community in Penetanguishene.
The Anishnaabek people continue to have an enduring relationship with this
land, specifically the Chippewas of Rama First Nation, the Chippewa Tri-
Council and the Williams Treaties First Nations. The Huron-Wendat Nation
also continues to pay respect and protect their ancestors and heritage on this

Council to vote on new Remuneration and Expenses By-law for members and staff
The Oro-Medonte Council will adopt the agenda, hear closed‑session items, and receive several reports including a recreational funding request from the City of Orillia and a security reduction request for the Forest Heights Subdivision project. A notice of motion will be considered to study extending the septic re‑inspection program to the Oro‑Moraine area. The council will also vote on By‑law 2026‑042, which updates remuneration and expense rules for council members, board appointees and employees.

Council will adopt five zoning amendment by‑laws for properties across Oro‑Medonte
The Oro‑Medonte Council will consider and vote on several by‑laws that amend zoning provisions for specific parcels, including 1865 Penetanguishene Road, 4223 Line 9 North, 245 Moonstone Road East, and two Official Plan amendments for Vicki Tree Wellness Inc. The agenda also includes adoption of the meeting agenda, approval of prior minutes, and a confirmation by‑law for the meeting proceedings.

1. Call to Order:
The Township of Oro-Medonte acknowledges that we are situated on the
traditional land of the Anishnaabek (A- nish- in- aa- beh) people, and
ancestral territory of the Huron-Wendat. The Anishnaabek include the Odawa
[Oh-DAH-wah], Ojibwe [O-jib-we] and Pottawatomi [boh-tah-WAH-toh-mee]
nations, collectively known as the Three Fires Confederacy. It continues
today as the home for diverse Indigenous Peoples including the historic
Métis Community in Penetanguishene.
The Anishnaabek people continue to have an enduring relationship with this
land, specifically the Chippewas of Rama First Nation, the Chippewa Tri-
Council and the Williams Treaties First Nations. The Huron-Wendat Nation
also continues to pay respect and protect their ancestors and heritage on this
land. We honour the Indigenous history and culture that has thrived for
millennia in this territory and the Treaties that bind us together as partners in

Special Council
Council to review and approve the 2026 MSC operating and capital budget recalibration
The Special Council will hear a presentation by Finance Director Shannon Johnson on the 2026 Municipal Services Corporation (MSC) operating and capital budget recalibration. Council will consider the budget alignment, financial sustainability, and related variance explanations before providing shareholder approval. A confirmation by‑law (2026‑038) will be adopted to formalize the meeting proceedings. An Open Forum will allow residents to comment on the agenda items.
