And we do have one public meeting this morning. And it's a public meeting for the new Bruce County Official Plan. This is a public meeting under the Planning Act. While Council may give direction to refine the plan, the plan will not be considered for adoption today. That will come at a future meeting. nursing at Gateway Haven,

I'll turn it over to Ashley to speak to the quality report.

provide highlights from the Q1 quality report from Gateway
Haven and Bruce Lee Haven.
These highlights include 2025-2026 quality improvement plan

Homes would be required to implement organized and standardized dementia care programs, including structured approaches to assessment, care planning, staff education, and quality improvement related to cognitive impairment and responsive behaviors. Given the increased complexity of residents across our homes, this direction aligns with what we are currently seeing operationally. However, it will likely increase documentation, program design, and quality monitoring expectations. Second, the bill formalizes expectations around cultural, linguistic, religious, and spiritual care. Homes would be required to implement organized programs that recognize and support these needs as part of care planning and service delivery. This reinforces the importance of culturally responsive care and may require stronger community partnerships and intentional program development moving forward. Third, the legislation enhances protections and enforcement mechanisms for residents. Definitions of abuse and neglect are expanded. Reporting and investigation obligations are strengthened. And offenses and penalties for noncompliance may increase. Finally, there are proposed updates to clinical governance and leadership structures. Council will consider motions to adopt the 2026 corporate budget and a temporary borrowing by‑law. It will endorse an amended memorandum of understanding for the Bruce C Nuclear Project with the Municipality of Kincardine and the Town of Saugeen Shores. The council will approve the write‑off of resident receivables totaling $25,920.24 for Brucelea Haven and Gateway Haven long‑term care homes. Additional items include approval of travel for the Director of Museum and Cultural Services to a Truth and Reconciliation program in Banff and receipt of reports on housing targets, a smart‑commute rideshare program, and other updates.
