Good morning everyone. Uh welcome to our regular meeting of council for July the 28th. Uh starting with our land acknowledgement. In a spirit of respect, reciprocity and truth, we honor and acknowledge Mitus and the traditional treaty 7 territory and oral practices of the Blackfoot Confederacy, Sika, Kaii, Beckani, Leal, Nakakota nations, Chiniki, Beerspawa, Good Stony, and Sutina Nation. We acknowledge that this territory is home to the Matei government of the Matei Nation with Alberta District 4. And finally, we acknowledge all nations, indigenous and non who live, work, and play on this land and who honor and celebrate this territory. This sacred gathering place provides us with an opportunity to engage in and demonstrate leadership on reconciliation and we are honored to have you join us on Treaty 7 territory. Looking for uh additions approval of the agenda. I do know that we have two additions that are coming to uh the agenda this morning. Uh if we could just have that on the screen please. Uh and just recognizing uh councelor Randavo will be joining us uh shortly. uh and councelor Warzanowski is joining us online at the moment. So uh the two additions uh that we are making is under new business uh lake update uh and this will be with regards to the incident that happened this weekend uh just so we can do a bit of a public update as to uh what happened uh this weekend and then we're going to be adding a close session land use discussion access information section 29 advi …

Governance and Priorities Committee Meeting

The Governance and Priorities Committee will hear updates from several advisory committees and review minutes from recent meetings. It will consider a draft amendment to the Business License Bylaw (Bylaw #027-26) presented by the Development & Building Services manager. The meeting also includes public presentations on health initiatives and community services.
