Council adopted the final draft of the Envision Grimsby Official Plan and the accompanying by-law (26-44) by a 7-2 vote, directing staff to forward it to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing for final approval. A motion to defer the plan to the next meeting was defeated 3-6. Council also approved extending temporary curb-side recycling collection for 49 downtown business properties for one year, funded from the Tax Stabilization Reserve.
