Thank you. Does any member have a decoration security interest at this time? Decorations? Councillor Crowley, please. Yeah, I wasn't able to attend the closed session from last week, so I won't be voting on those reports. I believe it's 9ABCDEF. And that's it, I believe. Okay. Any other decorations at this time? No other decorations? We'll go to delegations. Our first delegation this evening, Mr. Murray Davenport on the final citywide community planning permit bylaw report IPGPL 26-030. Mr. Davenport, please. If we could have your name for the public record, the word you're in, and you'll have five minutes to make a presentation, sir. That's Murray Davenport, Lansdowne Street East. I'm not sure what the word name is called. It's not autonomy. I know Gary and Pete are our reps. Please proceed, Mr. Davenport. The City of Peterborough Planning Development Department has submitted their new community planning permit system to the City of Peterborough for final approval. And that will replace the zoning bylaw, as we have known it for many years. The CPPS plans to zone properties throughout the city in accordance with the current official plan. The current official plan visualizes those lands south of L ansdowne Street East, north of Highway 115, and east of Ash burnham Drive, from the current commercial and industrial uses to major mixed commercial, plus a reduced area of general employment. Major mixed commercial is effectively commercial on the ground floor and several stories o …

All right, five-second warning. All right, we'll call this general committee meeting to order. Welcome, everyone. Thank you for joining us this evening. We start our meetings with the following land acknowled gment. We acknowledge that we gather on the traditional and treaty territories of the Williams Treaty's First Nations, including Nishinaabek peoples of Hiawatha, Curve Lake, Ald erville, Beausoleil, Jardina Island, Ramah, and the Mississa ugas of Skugog Island. For generations, the Michi Saagi Nishinaabek have cared for these lands and waters guided by knowledge, ceremony, and responsibility. We recognize the ongoing impacts of these treaties, the injustices that occurred, and the endearing strength and resurgence of Indigenous communities. As we live and work here, we commit to reflection, respect, and meaningful action in the spirit of reconciliation. We recognize the principles contained in our Constitution and the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. We'll now take 30 seconds of silent reflection. Please stand for the singing of the national anthem. Thank you. Oh, it's great. All right. So just a few announcements. Councillor Parnell is joining us online. Councillor Heikey sends his regrets and Councillor Crowley will be late. Also, our e-scribe technical system is not working this evening. So we will be going back to just to voting manually. So whenever there's a vote, we'll just go around the table and ask everyone if they're a yay or an nay. And Councillor Par …

Some former Peterborough lacrosse stars. I'm not sure what the proper procedure is for presenting a petition, but perhaps I could present it to …

Thank you. And that's carried. The tribunal is now adjourned. Thank you. One minute warning. Thank you. As we live and work here, we commit to reflection, respect and meaningful action in the spirit of reconciliation. The proposed use conceptually is a four-storey mixed-use building with up to 16 dwelling units. The property, I'm sure everyone has made a trip or two to the hospital over the years, but it's at the southwest corner of Medical Drive and Alexander Court, depicted above. Just in the vicinity, we have Foodland to the south, Peter borough Housing Corporation property. Also to the south, immediately adjacent to the Alexander Medical Building, cross the road from Extended Care, and as mentioned, near PRHC. Another overview of the property. And just one final view from the south, which is immediately to the south, is the parking lot for the medical clinic that's next door. This is how the property appears today. You can see the mixed-use trail that abuts Medical Drive in the right photo, and then the existing dwelling is here. The property is currently zoned R3, and in our official plan, it is designated as Major Mixed-U se Corridor. The proposal presented by the applicant is to amend the existing zone from R3 to a modified C50 zone to allow the development of a four-storey, 16-unit mixed- use building. Some of the modifications to the standard district include relief from one of the required loading spaces, as well as some relief from some of the parking lot layout re …

Thank you. The Council for the City of Peterborough recognizes the principles contained in our Constitution and the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. We'll now have 30 seconds of silent reflection. Thank you. If you are able to please stand, remove your caps for the National Anthem of Canada. Thank you. Oh, our home is still alive. We face with love in all hearts of our land. We long, we must be seen as the truth, Lord, strong and free. From the far above, O land, we stand on our own King. But we repent, O Lord, strong and free. O Lord, strong and free. Next item, we have a ceremonial presentation for our DBIA. And we'll make this presentation to their executive director and chair of the board. They won this recognition from the. Ontario Association of the Association of DBIs across our province for two particular areas. Executive director, Norr Naslum guided the Peterborough DB IA through a complex municipal policy challenge by priorit izing relationships based on advocacy and clear government's principles. The resulting unanimous rejection of bylaw 25126 preserve critical funding authority, reinforced member trust and demonstrated the impact of strong executive leadership in the municipal decision making process. And the other part of the recognition was based on movies in the park, movies in the park is a excuse me, a community driven downtown activation program launched by the Peter borough downtown business improvement area in 2025. The program created in response …

Thank you. Good evening everyone. Thank you for joining us. We'll start with our land acknowledgement. We acknowledge that we gather on the traditional and treaty territories of the Williams Treaty's First Nation, including Nishinawak people of Iowaka, Kerb Lake, Pomerhill , Bozo Lake, Shardina Island, Ramah, and the Mississaugas of Skutagawa. For generations, the Mississaugas and Nishinawak have cared for these lands and waters, guided by knowledge, ceremony, and responsibility. We recognize the ongoing impacts of these treaties, the injustices that occurred, and the endearing strength and resurgence of indigenous communities. As we live and work here, we commit to reflection, respect, and meaningful action in the spirit of reconciliation. Good evening everyone. The civic awards have presented to many worthy citizens of the city of Peterborough by city council since the year of 1953. Awards will be presented this evening recognizing both individual and group achievements that have brought honor to the city of Peterborough in 2025. There are several categories with trophies and the winners of these categories will be provided with crystal keepsakes . Their names are engraved on the trophies and will be placed at various city locations across our community. We're very pleased that the following organizations are sponsors of the athletic and volunteer trophies. Peterborough this week has sponsored the Junior Athlete of the Year Award. The Adult Athlete of the Year Award is the …
