I have a deemed indirect interest in today's debate on the basis that my in-laws home is located near the blue cross-hatched area indicated at the top left and top right of zone one of the conceptual diagram set out in the CAO's and the consultant's reports. My interest is limited to site-specific matters which may be raised respecting those areas of zone one. that otherwise my pecuniary interest I might have in the report and today's debate is subject to the interest in common exception set out in paragraph 4 of the Municipal Conflict of Interest Act. Therefore, if we are discussing that particular section of the fairgrounds, I will have to recuse myself. I will be able to fully participate in the conversation. Thank you very much, Councillor. The council approved the interior renovation (and minor exterior work) of the Port Perry Grain Elevator and endorsed the draft Memorandum of Understanding with PPGE Renovation & Revitalization Inc. By‑law 01‑26 designating a Site Plan Control Area, By‑law 02‑26 amending planning fees, and By‑law 03‑26 assuming municipal services for certain streets were also passed. The council appointed David McCallum to the Economic Development Advisory Committee for the remainder of the 2022‑2026 term. Authority was delegated to the CAO and senior directors to finalize the MOU and the Mayor and Clerk were authorized to execute it.
