Emergency Planning Committee

Council

Colwood Council is meeting to address several operational and planning items, including declaring two properties as nuisances, approving a Next Generation 911 agreement with the Capital Regional District, and advancing an Official Community Plan amendment for environmental development permit areas. The Heritage Commission meeting scheduled for January 9, 2025, at 3300 Wishart Road has been cancelled. No business was conducted.

Planning and Land Use Committee

The Planning and Land Use Committee will consider recommending that Council give first and second reading to an Official Community Plan amendment (Bylaw 1700-11) that would incorporate the Gateway and Triangle Lands Vision and Action Plan into the OCP, allowing up to 25 storeys in certain areas. The committee will also adopt the agenda and minutes from the previous meeting. Public comments are invited, but comments on two specific bylaws related to 3698 Metchosin Road are prohibited.
