Shuswap Watershed Council

The Council is meeting to approve revised budgets for communications and the wetland strategy for 2023/24. Members will also vote on increasing the Water Quality Grant Program budget. The session includes updates on invasive mussels and guest presentations on water quality and treatment wetlands.

Advisory Planning Commissions

Advisory Planning Commissions

The Columbia Shuswap Regional District's Advisory Planning Commission is reviewing proposed amendments to Development Permit Area (DPA) guidelines in five Official Community Plans (OCPs) covering Electoral Areas B, C, D, E, F, and G. The changes aim to provide clearer and more consistent guidelines for residents, industry professionals, and staff. Input from this meeting will inform further staff revisions before the Board considers first reading. The amendments do not apply to Electoral Area A or municipalities like Salmon Arm, Sicamous, Revelstoke, and Golden.

Shuswap Watershed Council

Shuswap Watershed Council

Shuswap North Okanagan Rail Trail Governance Advisory Committee

The Governance Advisory Committee recommended several policies to their respective boards and councils regarding agricultural crossings, commercial licenses, and dock usage. The committee also recommended adopting a maintenance standards plan with a specific funding split between owners. Staff were directed to revise the committee's terms-of-reference for the construction phase.

Electoral Area A: Local Area Advisory Committee

The Area A Local Advisory Committee is meeting to adopt the agenda and previous minutes, hear a delegation from the Community Economic Development (CED) executive director on housing, receive a director's report, and discuss the Golden and Area A Aquatic Centre and the CSRD budget process.
