Economic Development Commission
The Economic Development Commission is meeting to adopt minutes from January 21, 2022, and receive two staff reports for information only: one on the Northern Development Initiative Trust Business Facade Improvement Program, and one on the February 2022 project update. No decisions are scheduled on these items.

Special Meeting Regional District Board Meeting
The Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine Board is meeting to consider the draft 2022-2026 Financial Plan, which proposes a 2.52% increase in total requisition and parcel taxes for 2022, totaling $10,571,633. The plan includes a $6.97 million capital program for 2022 and addresses financial challenges in several services, such as Thornhill Water and Queensway Sewer, with planned fee increases. The Board will decide whether to approve the draft for public input at a meeting on February 18, 2022.

Regional District Board Meeting
The Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine Board will hold a closed session at 6:00 PM, then reconvene publicly at 7:00 PM. The public portion includes a delegation from Cedar LNG introducing their project, adoption of minutes, and reports on public engagement software, electronics recycling agreements, the Telegraph Creek Dock completion, Two Mile water upgrades, and the 2022 draft budget. The Board will also consider amendments to solid waste and recycling bylaws (Nos. 760 and 761) and adopt recommendations from the Economic Development Commission and Planning Committee.

Economic Development Commission
The Economic Development Commission will review a year-end report on 2021 projects and a strategic plan update, and will consider a recommendation to support the application for Phase 3 of the BC Provincial Nominee Program Entrepreneur Immigration Regional Pilot. The meeting is held in conjunction with the Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine Board meeting.
