Merritt City Council Regular Meeting

The council will consider adopting the Official Community Plan Amendment Bylaw 2383 and the Zoning Amendment Bylaw 2384. It will also give first, second and third readings to the Land Use Amendment Bylaw 2388, the Waterworks Bylaw 2392, and the Sewer Bylaw 2393, as well as the Fees and Charges Bylaw 2394. Policy Review Committee

The Policy Review Committee will adopt the minutes from its December 4, 2024 meeting. It will direct staff to bring forward proposed amendments to the City of Merritt Land Use Amendment and Development Approval Procedure Bylaw No. 2076,2009. The committee will recommend that the Sanitary Sewer Bylaw (bylaw‑2182) and the Waterworks Bylaw (bylaw‑2181) be forwarded to Council for consideration. A recommendation to close the meeting under Section 90(1)(c) of the Community Charter is also presented.

It will also vote on the new Subdivision and Development Servicing Bylaw No. 2381, approve reinstatement of transit Routes 2 and 3 with fare increases, and formalize a partnership with the Nicola Valley Foodbank for a build at 1898 Blair Street and 2352 Quilchena Avenue with up to $100,000 for design work. Additionally, a remedial action requirement for unsightly property at 1990 Houston Street is on the table.

Merritt City Council Regular Meeting
