Environmental Ad Hoc Committee

Striking Committee

The Striking Committee will adopt the minutes from its August 13, 2024 meeting and then move into a closed‑to‑public session under the Municipal Act. It will consider an updated Procedural By‑law that removes the Committee of the Whole from the council meeting structure and will recommend that Council adopt it. The Committee will also review the proposed 2025 Council Calendar and recommend its approval. The next meeting is scheduled for November 6, 2024.

Committee of Adjustment

The Committee of Adjustment met on August 26, 2024. It adopted the minutes from the July 15, 2024 meeting. The Committee considered and approved a minor variance application (A-2024-023) for 17 Beausoleil Road, allowing reduced front and side yard setbacks for a new single detached dwelling. The decision includes conditions that any future development must comply with the zoning by‑law.

Regular Council Meeting

Municipal Heritage Committee

Striking Committee

Committee of the Whole

The Committee will consider a recommendation to amend the 2024 Business Plan by adding the Southampton South Area Drainage Comprehensive Environmental Assessment as a capital highlight and to approve a $300,000 fund transfer from the Victoria Street (Peel Street to Morpeth Street) Project to this study. It will also discuss directing staff to include a Ward Boundary and Council Composition Project in the proposed 2025 Business Plan. Additionally, the Committee will consider adopting a by‑law to authorize internet and telephone voting for the 2026/26 municipal and school board elections.
