The Committee of the Whole unanimously directed staff to apply for up to $2.1 million in federal-provincial grant funding for the Government Street North Bicycle Master Plan Project. Council also approved a 10-year partial tax exemption for the heritage Hall Block at 727 Yates Street to support seismic upgrades. A motion to reduce default speed limits on local roads from 50 km/h to 30 km/h was carried in a 6-3 vote.
