Governance & Priorities Committee

Council Meeting
Woodlands County Council will hold a public hearing on Bylaw 611/24, which proposes updates to the county’s long-term land use and development guidelines. Economic Development Committee
The Woodlands County Economic Development Committee reviewed proposals for a community garden and an agricultural producer pilot program. Members directed the Economic Development Officer to coordinate with local partners on both initiatives and report back in 2024. Several administrative updates, work plan reviews, and International Economic Development Week planning were accepted as information.

Governance & Priorities Committee
The Governance & Priorities Committee will discuss a draft procedural bylaw, an informational land use project plan, and a road maintenance program for the Bison Road Pine Meadows area. The committee is asked to forward recommendations on the bylaw and road program to Woodlands County Council for final approval. The road proposal includes 2024 infrastructure repairs and would trigger a Local Improvement Tax of at least $500 annually per property for seven years, directly affecting local residents' costs.
