Special Council Meeting
Council approves assuming Montgomery Road into municipal system
The Township of Alnwick/Haldimand will assume a portion of Montgomery Road into its municipal road system for year-round maintenance. The decision follows the completion of road upgrades by a property owner under a Development Agreement.
- By-law #2026-24: Assume part of Montgomery Road into municipal system
- By-law #2026-25: Confirm proceedings of Special Council Meeting
- Road extension between Lots 18 and 19, Concession 9, former Township of Haldimand
- Works completed to municipal specifications
- Maintenance security held by Township for 12 months

1.1. Mayor Logel has called a Special Meeting of Council under Procedure By-law Section 4.1 for
the consideration of the Montgomery Road Extension - Road Assumption By-law.
Mayor Logel to confirm quorum and the presence of the Municipal Clerk.
Mayor Logel to call the meeting to order at 1:00 p.m.
2. Territorial Land Acknowledgement
We respectfully acknowledge that the Township of Alnwick/Haldimand is located on the
Mississauga Anishinabeg territory and is the traditional territory of the Mississauga
Anishinabeg. The Township of Alnwick/Haldimand respectfully acknowledges that the
Mississauga Nation are the collective stewards and caretakers of these lands and waters in
perpetuity, and that they continue to maintain this responsibility to ensure their health and
integrity for generations to come.
