The General Committee will consider establishing an Ad Hoc Games Organizing Committee to plan and deliver the 2027 Ontario 55+ Summer Games, expected to host about 1,200 people across 20+ venues. It will also vote on adopting new policies for the Brockville Museum, including collection and exhibition policies, a new membership fee, and an in-kind fundraising policy for the MURF campaign. A tender for excavation at MURF ball diamonds and pickleball courts and the June 2026 Capital Status Report are also on the agenda.

“The Council for the City of Brockville, under by-law, has appointed us
as members of the Committee of Adjustment. Our responsibilities are
outlined in detail in the Planning Act and include the processing of
applications for minor variances to certain by-laws, consideration of
changes or extensions to non-conforming uses and the processing of
consent applications where a minor variance is required prior to a
consent being approved. Further information, if required, may be
obtained from the Planning Department.
Anyone who wishes to speak at today’s hearing is asked to direct their
comments through the Chair, stating your full name and address for the
record.
Anyone present, other than the applicant, who wishes to receive a copy
of the decision of the Committee on any of the submissions being
heard, must submit a written request with the Secretary-Treasurer for
such notice. In order to be kept advised of any possible Ontario Land
Tribunal hearing, one must request in writing and be sent a copy of the
Committee’s decision on any particular application.
Any minor variance decision made by the Committee at today’s meeting

Le Comité consultatif des loisirs examinera les rapports du personnel sur le Guide de l'utilisateur des loisirs, une mise à jour sur le projet MURF et une campagne de financement pour le MURF. Council to reconfigure Bartholomew Street to one‑way traffic and amend related bylaws
The Brockville City Council will vote on a traffic configuration change that makes Bartholomew Street southbound one‑way between Pearl Street and King Street East and updates the Traffic and Parking Bylaws. It will also approve several fee and infrastructure items, including a transit stop announcement system, an encampment cleanup, and repairs to the Parkedale Avenue water reservoir. Additional funding for a hospital recruitment marketing campaign will be authorized. Routine items such as proclamations and the adoption of previous minutes are also on the agenda.
- Bartholomew Street traffic configuration change to southbound one‑way, with amendments to Traffic Bylaw 21‑93 and Parking By‑law 119‑1989
- Approval of $10,026 for the TransitFare Next Stop announcement system, funded by the Canada Public Transit Fund and Fiscal Policy Reserve
- Approval of $12,000 for cleanup of an encampment on city property, funded by the Fiscal Policy Reserve
