PURPOSE AND SCOPE
The Committee shall:
Identify, discuss, and provide advice to Council on ferry service issues affecting residents,
businesses, visitors, and municipal operations.
Serve as a liaison body between the Town of Gibsons, BC Ferries, the BC Ferry Authority and
the community.
Review ferry service impacts related to schedules, reliability, capacity, infrastructure, customer
experience, environmental considerations, and emergency management.
Support coordinated municipal advocacy efforts with BC Ferries, the BC Ferry Authority, the
BC Ferry Commission, the Province of British Columbia, neighbouring local governments, and
regional partners where appropriate.
Provide a local government perspective on proposed or anticipated changes to ferry
operations affecting the Langdale-Horseshoe Bay ("Route #3) route and connecting services.
The Committee may consider and make recommendations to Council on matters including, but not
limited to:
Service levels, reliability, cancellations, and seasonal scheduling.
Vessel capacity, traffic management, and terminal operations.

PURPOSE AND SCOPE
The Committee shall:
Identify, discuss, and provide advice to Council on ferry service issues affecting residents,
businesses, visitors, and municipal operations.
Serve as a liaison body between the Town of Gibsons, BC Ferries, the BC Ferry Authority and
the community.
Review ferry service impacts related to schedules, reliability, capacity, infrastructure, customer
experience, environmental considerations, and emergency management.
Support coordinated municipal advocacy efforts with BC Ferries, the BC Ferry Authority, the
BC Ferry Commission, the Province of British Columbia, neighbouring local governments, and
regional partners where appropriate.
Provide a local government perspective on proposed or anticipated changes to ferry
operations affecting the Langdale-Horseshoe Bay ("Route #3) route and connecting services.
The Committee may consider and make recommendations to Council on matters including, but not
limited to:
Service levels, reliability, cancellations, and seasonal scheduling.

It will also approve the 2025 draft audited financial statements and adopt Elections Bylaw No. 1345, 2026. A formal application will be submitted for up to $1 million from the Build Communities Strong Fund for the Lower Gibsons/Harbourfront Infrastructure Improvements Project. Council to adopt Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 1339, 2025
The council will consider several bylaws, including the Delegation of Authority Bylaw No. 1336, 2025 and the Gibsons and District Fire Commission Bylaw No. 1343, 2025. A rezoning and development permit for 702 Gibsons Way will be reviewed. Councillor Croal will move to delete the phrase “through a future OCP amendment” from Table 1 of the OCP land‑use designations. The Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 1339, 2025 will receive its third reading and be adopted, and the Zoning Bylaw No. 1342, 2025 will receive its third reading.
