Logan Lake to hold public hearing on new OCP and zoning bylaws
The District of Logan Lake is holding a public hearing on two proposed bylaws: Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 963, 2026, which would replace the 2010 OCP, and Zoning Bylaw No. 964, 2026, which would replace the 2010 zoning bylaw. The hearing allows residents to comment on the proposed plans, which set out land-use policies and regulations for future growth. No decisions are made at the hearing; council will consider input afterward.

Official Community Plan Bylaw 963, 2026
The purpose of a Public Hearing is to allow the public to make
representations to the local government respecting matters contained in
the proposed bylaw. Persons who believe that their interest in property
is affected by the proposed bylaw shall be afforded a reasonable
opportunity to be heard or to present written submissions respecting
matters contained in the bylaw that is the subject of this Hearing.
The intent of Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 963, 2026 is to repeal
and replace District of Logan Lake Official Community Plan Bylaw No.
670, 2010. The proposed Official Community Plan establishes an
updated long-term vision, objectives, policies and land-use designations
to guide future growth and decision-making throughout the District of
Logan Lake.
The proposed Plan addresses matters including:
•future land use and development;
•housing needs and residential growth;
•economic development;
•transportation and municipal infrastructure;
•environmental protection and natural hazards;
•parks, recreation and community services;
•climate action and greenhouse-gas reduction;

The Logan Lake Regular Council will vote on two bylaws—TV Society Grant‑In‑Aid Frontage Tax Bylaw No. 956, 2026 and Fees and Charges Amendment Bylaw No. 957, 2026—each slated for first, second, and third reading. The council will also approve staff to compile a budget for designing a wetlands interpretive trail.
