RDOS presents Solid Waste Management Plan, seeks council support resolution
The Committee of the Whole hears a delegation from the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) presenting a draft Solid Waste Management Plan (SWMP) for the next 10 years. The plan sets a target of 450 kg/capita waste disposal per year by 2036 and includes 47 initiatives to reduce waste, increase diversion of organics and construction materials, and optimize landfill operations. Public hearing on Fenchurch Avenue rezoning for 58 housing units

1.2 The Mayor's Public Hearing Address
This Public Hearing is convened pursuant to the Local Government Act in order to
consider: Official Community Plan Amendment Bylaw No. 1063, 2025 and Zoning
Amendment Bylaw No. 1064, 2025. The purpose of Bylaws No. 1063, 2025 and 1064,
2025 is to amend the Official Community Plan and Zoning Bylaw to support the
development of an office use and 58 housing units. The subject properties are located
at 82, 84, 88 and 87 Fenchurch Avenue and are designated as MR, Medium Density
Residential in the Community Plan and are designated as a Town Centre Development
Permit Area. The lots are zoned RM2, Multi-Family Residential. It is proposed to
change the Official Community Plan land use designation to TC, Town Centre and
rezone to C2, Central Business.
At this Public Hearing, all persons wishing to speak will be given an opportunity to be
