The Committee of the Whole hears a delegation from the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) presenting a draft Solid Waste Management Plan (SWMP) for the next 10 years. The plan sets a target of 450 kg/capita waste disposal per year by 2036 and includes 47 initiatives to reduce waste, increase diversion of organics and construction materials, and optimize landfill operations. Council is asked to adopt a resolution supporting the SWMP and to provide comments. No other substantive business is on the agenda.

Public Hearing

This public hearing considered OCP and zoning amendments to allow a mixed-use development with 58 residential units and office space at 82, 84, 87, and 88 Fenchurch Avenue. The hearing was held and closed with no public speakers. Council subsequently gave third reading and adopted the bylaws.
