Mayor Quibell called the meeting to order at 6:04 pm.
Mayor Quibell read a statement acknowledging the tragedy in Tumbler Ridge and
extending condolences to the students, families, educators, first responders, and all those
affected. The Mayor noted the close ties between rural communities and encouraged
anyone struggling to reach out for support. Council observed a moment of silence.

Council to review pre-budget approvals for water system and facilities
Council will consider pre-budget approvals for the water system (RCM-PW-023) and facilities (RCM-PW-024), along with a 2025 budget update (RCM-ADM-216). Two repeal bylaws (Nos. 962 and 963) are up for discussion, the latter repealing multiple outdated bylaws from the 1960s-70s. Correspondence includes opposition to Bill M216 and a request for cross-border medical services. The Peace River Agreement Annual Development Plan for 2026 is also on the agenda.
