Lakeshore council considered $156K traffic contract, subdivision agreements in late June
The Town of Lakeshore held two meetings in late June — a regular council meeting on June 23 and a drainage board meeting on June 29 — but minutes have not yet been published for either, so final outcomes are not yet available.
Council meeting: June 23
The regular council meeting agenda included several infrastructure spending items and development approvals. Council was scheduled to consider:
- **$156,710.91 tender** for traffic improvements on Notre Dame Street, to Field Electrical Contractors Inc.
- **$103,998.72 tender** for streetlight infrastructure mapping, also to Field Electrical Contractors Inc.
- **$350,359.68 tender** for Chauvin-Blanchette and Kennedy Drain improvements, to Major Construction Ltd.
- **Subdivision agreements** for Cooper Mills Phase 2 and Forest Hill Phase 5A.
- **A proposal to waive development charges** for new housing at 0 County Road 27 in South Woodslee.
Council was also asked to approve deeming two lots on Elmgrove Drive as no longer part of a plan of subdivision. Because minutes have not been released, it is not known whether council approved or rejected any of these items.
Drainage board: June 29
The Drainage Board reviewed two engineering reports from N.J. Peralta Engineering: one concerning a bridge over Government Drain No. 3, and another on a bridge over the McKenzie Drain. The board also had the option to hold a Court of Revision to address drainage assessments. Minutes for this meeting are also pending publication.
