June 22 special meeting – financial planning focus
Council met in a special session to review and potentially approve the Asset Management Plan for Tax-Supported Assets, which outlines the municipality’s approach to maintaining infrastructure such as roads, buildings, and equipment. The Long-Term Financial Plan projects revenues and expenditures over a multi-year horizon. All three documents were prepared by Watson & Associates Economists Ltd., a consulting firm that presented to council during the meeting. A ratification bylaw (2026-47) was also on the agenda to formalize the meeting’s actions.
Because the official minutes have not been released, it is not yet known whether council voted to approve any of the items. The agenda was published in advance, and the meeting took place as scheduled.
