Paradise council approves 2025 audited financial statements, advances infrastructure spending
The Town of Paradise Committee of the Whole has approved the municipality's 2025 audited financial statements by consensus, with formal ratification expected at the next public council meeting. The decision came during the June 23 meeting and sets the stage for more than $800,000 in pending infrastructure and equipment expenditures to be voted on at the June 30 public meeting.

Council members unanimously approved the 2025 audited financial statements. The approval is subject to ratification at a subsequent public meeting, which serves as the formal step to adopt the documents.
The committee also advanced several financial items to the June 30 public council meeting for final decision:
- Payment of a regional wastewater adjustment invoice for $8,731
- Payment of a regional water adjustment invoice for $313,707
- An engineering change order for the Kenmount Road Phase 1 project worth $24,944
- Award of a contract for mobile generators and transfer switches to Jewer Bailey Consultants for $12,510
- Town Hall redevelopment change notice #1 for $437,350
In addition, the committee agreed to keep a pool feasibility study under consideration for future discussion, rather than moving it forward. Council also approved an advertising notice for a proposed home-based business at 8 Foxglove Street.
