Point Edward Committees Review June Financials, Wastewater Study, and Anniversary Planning
Point Edward council and several village committees met last week to review June financial statements, discuss a wastewater treatment plant digester study, and begin planning the village's 150th anniversary. Special Council Meeting: Wastewater Digester Study and By-law Confirmation
On July 16, Point Edward council was scheduled to hear a presentation from Associated Engineering regarding the Point Edward WPCP Digester Evaluation and Upgrade Study. The agenda also included Confirmation By-law Number 13 of 2026, which would adopt all resolutions passed up to July 16, 2026. Council was also scheduled to adjourn to an in-camera session and later reconvene.
Operations Committee: June Budgets and Speed Camera Data

Staff presented options related to By-law 18 of 2024 concerning boulevard landscaping and sight triangle concerns. The agenda included an update on the 2026 fiscal year operations capital budget projects and a response to a public inquiry regarding maintenance of the Alix Family Pergola at Waterfront Park.
