RECOMMENDED ACTION
That Council receive the 2025 Audit Findings Report for information, acknowledging the results
and recommendations presented by the external auditors.
That Council approve the Town of Cochrane’s 2025 Audited Consolidated Financial Statements as
presented.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
In accordance with Alberta’s Municipal Government Act, municipalities are required to prepare
annual financial statements in compliance with Public Sector Accounting Standards, have them
audited by an independent external auditor, obtain Council approval, and submit them to the
Province by May 1 each year.
The Town of Cochrane’s 2025 Audited Consolidated Financial Statements have been completed
in accordance with these requirements and are presented to Council for review and approval.
