The Lillooet District Council will consider Temporary Use Permit TUP25-001 to allow a fenced vehicle impound and tow yard on the properties at 145 and 161 T&T Road. The permit would permit storage of about 20‑30 impounded vehicles for up to three months, for a three‑year term, with conditions such as buffers, fencing, and down‑cast lighting. Staff recommend approval; public feedback includes three supportive comments and one opposed comment citing neighbourhood character, noise, and crime concerns. Council may approve, deny, defer, or refer the application.

Notice of this Public Hearing was posted to the District's website and
Facebook page on December 23, 2025, and reposted on January 7,
2026. District staff booked Notices to appear in the in the Bridge River
Lillooet News on January 1, 2026 and January 8, 2026 in accordance
with Section 466 of the Local Government Act.
All property owners within 100m of the subject properties were mailed
direct notification letters on December 24, 2025.
A Notice of Development sign was also posted on the property itself as
of January 2, 2026 advertising the date of Public Hearing.
Physical posters advertizing the Public Hearing were also posted on
community notice boards in town including the REC Centre, Abundance
Bakery, Old Mill Plaza, and the Country Store on January 7.
