Two minor variance applications will be heard by the Committee of Adjustment on April 2

The Committee of Adjustment has scheduled public hearings for two minor variance applications on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. The hearings will be conducted online via Microsoft Teams. Application A-01-2025 (4128 Petrolia Line) seeks relief from Sign By‑Law 45‑2018 to allow two internally illuminated signs within 6 m of the sidewalk in the Historic Downtown area. Application A-02-2025 (4196 Petrolia Line) seeks relief from the Zoning By‑Law to permit a second accessory residential dwelling unit above a commercial use.

Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee

Committee will decide the 2025 Christmas Parade theme at this meeting

The Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee will consider and vote on the Christmas Parade 2025 theme. It will also review any public comments received, discuss the sizing of "EVENTS" t‑shirts, and receive updates on park programs, the Art in the Park vendor applications, and the Petrolia In Bloom flower‑colour theme. A guest presentation will address the need for an additional ice pad in Petrolia.

Petrolia Heritage Advisory Committee

Heritage committee discusses grants, signage, and historic designations

The Petrolia Heritage Advisory Committee will review the 2025 Facade Grant Program, discuss veteran and North Street signage, and consider a monument workshop at Hillsdale Cemetery. The committee also received a report on the 2024 Cemetery Tour.
