Council holds education session to receive departmental updates
The Town of Petrolia Council met on March 23, 2026 for an education session as required by Section 239 (3.1) of the Municipal Act. The meeting’s purpose is to provide training and information to members, and no council business or decisions are taken. Council - Regular Session
Council to consider up to $500,000 for Victoria Hall renovation
The Town of Petrolia Council will adopt the agenda, review minutes from the February meeting, and receive several reports. Key decisions include authorizing the West Nile larvicide program, adopting an updated financial policy with a $130,000 reserve reallocation, and approving funding for the Victoria Hall renovation. The council will also approve a road closure for a library event and a community shred day costing $2,260.00.

Ross Ellsworth appointed chair of the Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee
The committee approved its agenda and the February 4 minutes, then nominated and accepted Ross Ellsworth as chair for 2026.
