Committee of the Whole Meeting
The Sturgeon County Committee of the Whole is meeting to hear a presentation from TC Energy and Pembina Pipeline Corporation about the Alberta Carbon Grid, a carbon capture utilization and storage project. The committee will consider accepting the presentation as information and may recommend that Council authorize the Mayor to provide a support letter for the project. Regular Council Meeting
Sturgeon County Council is meeting to consider several financial and planning items. The main business includes first readings of eight debenture bylaws to fund road and bridge projects, a continuation of a public hearing on a land use bylaw amendment, and a request to apply for Canada Summer Job grants. Council will also discuss a COVID-19 policy for members and hold closed sessions on a land matter and a presentation from the Morinville Seed Cleaning Co-op.

The 2021 Land Use District Audit Bylaw received second and third readings, with one abstention.
