Good morning. I'm going to call the special council meeting to order for Thursday, August the 6th. Sturgeon County recognizes that we're meeting on Treaty 6 territory, the traditional homelands of Alexander and Michelle First Nations, as well as Métis Nations within Alberta's District 8 and 11. We are all treaty people and we love and cherish this place that we call home and the land that provides for us. A place where our families, friends and relations live and grow and we commit ourselves to continually becoming better treaty people so that this place and those we love continue to thrive as long as the sun shines, the grass grows and the rivers flow. First order of business is the adoption of the agenda. Assuming since it's a special council meeting there will be no additions or deletions. If I can have a mover to accept the agenda as presented. Councillor Stang , thank you. I'll call the question. Those in favour? Do we have council members joining online there? Yes. And so if we can just confirm their affirmative votes? Yes. All three. Okay. And that motion is carried unanimously. Thank you. So just to confirm, we have all of council present, three online and four in chambers. The next order of business is 2.1, Declaration of Agriculture Disaster for Sturgeon County. And we have Miss Carolina Dre bek presenting this morning. Good morning, Mayor and Council. My name is Carolina Drebek . I'm the acting manager of Open Space and Agricultural Services. And I'm here with my c …

I'd like to call the Committee of the Whole meeting to order. I've got 9.29 on my phone. So I wanted to just quickly make a comment about the engagement of the committee. It is a public meeting, and so everyone is welcome. We like seeing everybody here. But this isn't a time for comments from anyone. Except for the speakers. It's a way for Council to get information. And so I just wanted to make that point. It's not a public hearing. There's a process to this meeting, and we're just going to follow that process. And the next item of that process is the adoption of the agenda. And so I'd ask if does our agenda look right? Is there any changes needed? Seeing none, I'll look for a mover. I'm going with Councillor Toms on the quick draw. Call the question. All those in favor? That passes unanimously. And item 1.3, adoption of the minutes. Does anyone see anything that needs to be changed in the minutes of the previous meeting? Seeing none, I'll look for someone to move that. Councillor Seng. Call the question. All those in favor? And that passes unanimously. Item 2, 2.1, is a 9.30 a.m. Sturgeon Data Center update. Mlad Ashdagi, the General Manager of Development and Economic Services, will lead us off. And then we have some presenters here. So whenever you're ready. Thank you, Mr. Chair, Council. Just prior to introducing our presenters, I just wanted to give a little bit of background and context to where this development is happening. Over the last several days, it's become cle …

Good afternoon. We will call the Governance and Council Services Committee meeting to order. Just to do a sound check with everybody that's online because we've just got Deputy Mayor McLennan and myself in chambers today. So if I can start with Division 1, please. Good afternoon. And we'll move through numerically. Division 2, please. Good afternoon. Councillor Boissoneau. Yeah, I'm here. Thank you. And Councillor Stang. Councillor Stang did five. Perfect. Thank you. First order of... Sorry. Oh, yes. Sorry . And number six. I can't count that high today. Good thing it's not Budget Committee. Go ahead, Councillor Berry. Yeah. Last but not least, I'm here. Thank you. First order of business is the adoption of the minutes from March 19, 2026. And... Oh, yes. Sorry. The agenda. We better start at the beginning. And before we vote on the agenda, just a reminder, the voting members of this particular committee are Deputy Mayor McLennan and Councillor Stang and myself. But certainly appreciate all input from all members present . So if there are no additions or deletions to the agenda, if I can have a mover. Actually, we're just going to do that in-house here. Councillor McLennan's going to be attributed with that motion. And the three of us can vote on it. Those in favour? And that motion carries unanimously. And then on to the March 19th minutes. Were there any corrections noted? I saw none. I'll attribute the motion to accept those to you, Councillor McLennan... Sorry, Deputy May …

Good morning. I'm going to call the June 30th regular council meeting to order. Sturgeon County recognizes that we are meeting on Treaty 6 territory, the traditional homelands of Alexander and Michelle First Nations, as well as Métis Nations within Alberta's District 8 and 11. We are all treaty people and we love and cherish this place that we call home and the land that provides for us. A place where our families, friends and other relations live and grow and we commit ourselves to continually becoming better treaty people so that this place and those we love continue to thrive as long as the sun shines, the grass grows and the rivers flow. First order of business is the adoption of the agenda. I understand there is an addition to the agenda. Thank you. Councillor Toms. Through you, Madam Mayor, I would like to add as item 6.1 a notice of motion regarding sub-regional policy development. Okay, we'll add that as 6.1. And Councillor Clenning. Thank you. Through you, Madam Mayor, I'd like to add item 6.2, which is a notice of motion review of small business incentives policy. Thank you. If I can have a motion to accept the agenda as amended. Councillor Boissoneau, thank you. I'll call the question. Those in favor? And that is passed unanimously. Thank you. Then we'll move on to the consent agenda. Mr. Sopko, any comments on the consent agenda? Through you, Madam Mayor, administration is proposing two items for approval on the consent agenda. The first being item 3.1, which is t …

Good morning. I'm going to call the April 28th regular council meeting to order. Sturgeon County recognizes that we are meeting on Treaty 6 territory , the traditional homelands of Alexander and Michelle First Nations, as well as Métis districts 8 and 11. I'm not signed into the Teams meeting I just want to verify if we do have either Councillor Papadopoulos or Councillor Boissoneau or not online. Through Madam Mayor, neither of those councillors are online. Okay. Now I just want to have a look at the agenda because we had five, we're going to start with consent and then five to correct? Okay. But before that we have a number of proclamations because May is a busy time to celebrate a lot of things. First and foremost the end of winter. Actually so the proclamations are listed in order of their recognition so I will start with the proclamation for Youth Week. Please Councillor Stang. Thank you. Through the Chair, Youth Week May 1st to the 7th , 2026. Whereas Sturgeon County's youth are an important part of the community bringing energy, ideas and leadership that contribute to a strong and positive future. And whereas …

Deputy Mayor Kristen Toms: I'm Deputy Mayor Kristen Toms. I 'm going to call the Committee of the Whole meeting to order for Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at 4:00 PM. First item is the adoption of the agenda. Are there any additions, deletions or changes to the agenda? Seeing none, I will ask for a mover for that. Mayor Natu, thank you for that.
