Council approved five development variance permits, including permits for a house on a steep slope at 12-40 Kestrel Place, a front-yard pool at 8160 Okanagan Landing Road, a retaining wall and pool on slopes at 904 Mt. Griffin Road, and a 16-lot semi-detached subdivision at 160 Whistler Place. Council also authorized up to $150,000 for FireSmart activities, supported a $25,000 grant application for emergency operations, increased the RCMP contract budget by $89,795, and adopted several bylaws. A proposed flood hazard area amendment was deferred pending discussions with the Province and Okanagan Basin Water Board.
