1. That Council considers granting third reading of Bylaw 1120/22 for the purpose of establishing a
Broadband Council Committee.
2. That Council considers appointing eligible members, as per Bylaw 1120 section 5, to the
Broadband Committee.
BACKGROUND:
Council granted first reading of the attached Bylaw 1120/22 on April 26, 2022, and second reading on
May 10, 2022. The bylaw establishes a Broadband Council Committee (Committee), as a separate
governance with specific authority and membership eligibility, 'to develop and implement a vision
statement, public engagement strategy, and an Open Access Network of broadband infrastructure in
Clearwater County'.

The Clearwater County council will hold three public hearings on proposed amendments to the Land Use Bylaw and Municipal Development Plan. Regular Council Meeting
Council to hold public hearings on four land use bylaw amendments
Clearwater County Council will hold three public hearings at 9:00 AM, 9:30 AM, and 10:00 AM for four Land Use Bylaw amendments (Bylaws 25/061, 25/065, 25/066, 25/067). Following the hearings, second and third readings will be considered for those bylaws, and first reading for Bylaw 25/070. Other business includes a delegation from Parkland Airshed Management Zone, a ratepayer request for tax waiver, the Clearwater Library Board Accountability Agreement, and several reports including capital projects and emergency services. The meeting also includes a closed session for personnel and procurement discussions.

Council will hold three public hearings on land use bylaw amendments (Bylaws 25/062, 25/063, 25/058) and then consider second and third readings for each, plus first reading for Bylaw 25/069. A tabled amendment from a previous meeting (Bylaw 25/035) is also up for consideration. New business includes a ratepayer's tax waiver request, policy revisions on council pay and travel, and the start of CAO recruitment.
