Regular Council Meeting

Strategic Planning Council Committee of the Whole
The Strategic Planning Committee will receive a delegation from Alberta Animal Services regarding a draft Animal Control Bylaw and provide direction. They will also discuss the Brush Clearing Policy, a new Records Management Bylaw, amendments to development node Area Structure Plans for Saunders-Alexo and Whitegoat Lakes, and two 2027 budget items: a heated storage facility project and a solid waste management plan with transfer station options.

Municipal Planning Commission
The Commission will review several land use bylaw amendments and rezoning requests. The agenda also includes multiple applications for short-term rental operations and various subdivision requests.

Special Council Meeting
Clearwater County council will vote on appointing a new Chief Administrative Officer effective July 13, 2026, following the retirement of the current CAO on June 30. Due to a 12-day gap, council will also appoint senior manager Erik Hansen as Interim CAO from July 1 to July 12. The appointments require a resolution per the Municipal Government Act and Bylaw 26/071.
