Council to endorse permanent OCIF funding beyond 2026
The Committee of the Whole Council will receive Finance Report FIN2026-08 and vote to endorse the Municipal Finance Officers’ Association request that the Province permanently maintain the current level of the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund after 2026, and to direct staff to forward the endorsement to the relevant ministers. The council will also consider two zoning by‑law amendment applications: one to rezone 19350 Woodbine Avenue from Rural to Environmental Protection and Employment General, and another in principle to rezone 20366 Leslie Street from Residential Private Services to Site‑Specific Residential Private Services pending site‑plan approval. Additional items include the receipt of engineering memoranda on drinking water quality improvement, LED street‑light conversion, and the 2025 annual fill program, as well as a parks and recreation memo on capital projects.
