The Committee of Adjustment will consider four applications for minor variances and permissions. These requests seek relief from zoning bylaws regarding building sizes, setbacks, and environmental buffers for residential projects.

Committee of Adjustment

Le Committee of Adjustment tiendra des audiences publiques sur quatre demandes de dérogation mineure. Deux demandes cherchent à dépasser la taille maximale des hangars à bateaux de 152 à 183 pieds carrés. Deux autres demandes demandent de construire une habitation, une terrasse, une fosse septique et un gazebo plus près que la distance de retrait requise de 30 mètres des pentes abruptes ou instables. Le comité annulera également sa réunion régulière du 11 juin.

• 115 Rangers Road : dérogation pour construire un hangar à bateaux de 752 pieds carrés (max 600 pieds carrés) et à moins de 30 m d'une pente abrupte
• 2137 North Baptiste Lake Road : dérogation pour construire un hangar à bateaux de 783 pieds carrés (max 600 pieds carrés)
• 135 South Road : dérogation pour construire une habitation de 897 pieds carrés avec terrasse et fosse septique à aussi près que 25 pieds d'une pente abrupte
• 135 South Road : dérogation pour construire un gazebo de 160 pieds carrés à aussi près que 20 pieds d'une pente abrupte

Le Conseil examinera l'adoption du budget municipal de 2026 et la fixation des taux d'imposition. The council will conduct a second reading of the 2026 Draft Operating Budget. It will adopt Bylaw 2026-005, establishing a policy for the closure and sale of Shore Road Allowances. The council will approve a $500 administrative fee refund (plus HST) to Joan and Ben Phillips for File No. O-2025-005, and authorize up to $150,000 for outdoor rink boards for the Maynooth Outdoor Rink Revitalization project. Additional departmental reports and resolutions will be accepted for information.

The Hastings Highlands Council will hold public hearings for three zoning bylaw amendments. The body is also deciding on the procurement of a tanker truck and a tandem truck, as well as an audit engagement letter for 2026.

Committee of Adjustment

The Hastings Highlands Committee of Adjustment will hear and decide on Permission Application A-2026-001 submitted by Domenic and Susanna Sacco for the property at 141 O-At-Ka Rd, Baptiste Lake. The application seeks to replace an existing 800 sq ft dwelling with a new 1‑storey 1,290 sq ft house, deck, sunroom, porch and balcony, all within specified setback distances. The meeting will also adopt the minutes from the December 11 2025 Committee of Adjustment meeting and address procedural items before adjourning to the next meeting on March 5 2026.
