Electoral Area Advisory Committee Meeting
Committee to discuss airport lands planning, parkland cash-in-lieu, and Telus transition
The Electoral Area Advisory Committee will receive staff reports on planning for airport lands and a Tow Hill Landshare parkland allocation update, and may support cash-in-lieu of parkland acquisition. The North Coast Regional District Board will adopt the 2026‑2030 Five‑Year Financial Plan by passing Bylaw No. 714. It will also consider and pass three other bylaws: Bylaw 710 to amend the Rural Graham Island Interim Zoning Bylaw, and Bylaw 711 for the 2026 general local elections. The Board will adopt the Community Wildfire Resiliency Plans for Electoral Areas A and C. Additionally, staff will present a land referral request for Rogers Communications to obtain a license of occupation for communications sites.

Committee to decide scope and permitting for Onward Point Trail Enhancement
The Sandspit Parks and Trails Advisory Committee will receive the staff report titled “Onward Point Trail Enhancement Project Review.” The committee is asked to provide direction on the desired scope of the project, which will determine the level of archaeological permitting required under the Heritage Conservation Act. The report also includes status of authorization under the Forest and Range Practices Act and feedback from the Council of the Haida Nation.
