. All right, thank you very much, Madam Clerk. Thank you, everyone. Welcome to the Council meeting for today. We're just about to go into in-camera, but today is August the 10th. Summer is just swimming by, is it not? Council will be meeting at a 4 o'clock in-camera session to discuss a couple of small items, and then we'll be returning at 5:30. So at this time, members of Council, I'd like to read the recommendation to go in-camera. Be it resolved that the next portion of the meeting be closed to the public in accordance with S. 239-2 of the Municipal Act, 2001. Item C, a proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the municipality or local board. Excuse me. And then item K, a position, plan, procedure, criteria or instruction to be applied to any negotiations carried on or to be carried on on behalf of the municipality or local board. Can we go in-camera with a mover and seconder, please? Mr. Walker, Councillor Deneen, thank you so much. Any questions? Seeing none, all those in favour? That carries unanimous. Council will be retired in-camera. And like I said, we'll be back around about 5:30. Thank you. Thank you very much, Madam Clerk. Welcome back, members of the public. This is the Council meeting for August 10, 2026. Council did meet at 4 o'clock for a brief in-camera discussion, and then we had recess until 5:30, so we're returning now to continue our meeting. All members of Council are present. We have members of our staff and some people in the audience …

Thank you. Hello. Thank you. suffering in terms of our business because of these other ones coming along. By the same token, if anything happens, if someone does decide they do want to do a short-term rental and they're out, well, they could be in stain or cream or wherever or more rural, that if anything does happen, I'm not too sure. I've been in the insurance business since 1978, including municipal liability. I would have some concerns as well that these people are not insuring their houses properly. Insurance companies will vary in terms of what they can provide. A lot of them treat it just as a regular home and other ones treat it more as a commercial. Those are just what our concerns were in terms of that, as I mentioned first. We're not against them at all. We just want to make sure that there's some sort of semblance of order in the way that they're licensed and the way that they're approved. Before you run off, that's a great point you brought up, by the way, and thank you very much. I know that we've already heard from our staff in their reports about the idea that it would be a level playing field. But just for the interest of council, how often are you booked? Your facility is, I know exactly where you are, and it's a wonderful spot, beautiful view. So how often are you busy there? The nice thing about running a bed and breakfast is you can be as busy or as not busy as you want to be. We generally have winter seasonals because we're so close to Devil's Glen. Espe …

We're good to go.
All right.
Welcome to Clearview Township's Committee of Adjustment June meeting.
I'll call the meeting to order at 3 o'clock.
I just want to point out today that we have a new Treasurer Secretary up here, Cameron,

That goes out to you, Todd.
I'm trying not to.
Figure you shouldn't.
We should be good.
All right.
I'd like to begin our meeting by recognizing the First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples of

Métis, and Inuit peoples as part of an intricate nationhood that reaches across Turtle Island.
At this time of truth and reconciliation, we welcome the opportunity to work together towards
new understandings and new relationships and ask for guidance in all we do.
For those of us that were here last meeting, is there any issues with the minutes that you
reviewed of our last meeting?
Omissions, queries, complaints?
Seeing none, can we have a motion to accept those minutes?
Gord, Ken, we good, Danielle?
Perfect.
All in favour?
Carried.
We accept our last month's minutes.
Do any committee members have a pecuniary interest arising out of the one item listed on today's
agenda?
