No decisions made in Minden Hills committees over past two weeks
Over the past two weeks, Minden Hills committees held no decisions. The Committee of Adjustment was scheduled to consider a minor variance application on June 22, but its outcome has not yet been published. The Lochlin Community Centre Advisory Committee cancelled its June 23 meeting.
Committee of Adjustment considers Bob Lake setback variance
The Committee of Adjustment met on June 22 to hear a request from the owner of 1069 Loggers Crossing Lane on Bob Lake. The owner seeks a minor variance (file PLMV2026025) to allow construction of a two-storey accessory building of 376 square feet with a sleeping cabin. The property is zoned Shoreline Residential (SR). The requested relief includes a side setback of 2.1 metres instead of the required 4.5 metres, and permission to develop on an undersized lot. The owner cited topographical constraints and an irregular lot shape as the reasons. The committee also had on its agenda approval of minutes from its May 25, 2026 meeting. As of today, the meeting’s minutes have not been published, so the committee’s decision is not yet known.
