Augusta council considers development agreement, food bank fee waiver
Augusta Township council and committees met last month to review several property and financial matters, though no final decisions have been published yet.
Recent meetings
Regular Council Meeting — June 22
Council considered a development agreement for 6401 6th Concession Road under By-Law 3858-2026. The agenda also included approval of the township’s 2025 draft financial statements and a request from the South Grenville Food Bank for a fee waiver to use the Maitland Education Recreation Centre. A closed session was held to discuss potential litigation regarding a planning matter.
Council also approved the minutes from its June 8 meeting.
Because minutes from the June 22 meeting have not yet been published, it is not known whether any of the items were approved or deferred.
Committee of Adjustment — June 22
The Committee of Adjustment reviewed application A06/26 from Sprucelawn RMD Corporation for property at 12 Church Street. A staff report noted no concerns from either the Fire Chief or the Senior Planner regarding the proposed project. The committee also approved the minutes from its June 10 meeting.
Again, minutes from this meeting have yet to be released, so the outcome of the application is not yet available.
