Morinville council to vote on $384K parking lot budget increase
Morinville town council will consider approving a $384,000 budget amendment for the Town Hall Parking Lot Rehabilitation project at its July 7 regular meeting. If approved, the total project cost would reach $584,000. Council will also decide on a partial property tax cancellation of $1,373.68 for Roll No. 652540.

The parking lot budget amendment is the largest financial item. The property tax cancellation is a routine administrative adjustment. The RCMP will present its quarterly report covering January to March 2026. Council will also hear a presentation from the Roseridge Waste Management Services Commission and discuss the 2026-2030 Corporate Business Plan, which sets strategic priorities for the town over the next five years.
June 23 meeting recap

Council was scheduled to vote on the second and third readings of Morinville Library Board Bylaw No. 6/2026, a bylaw that would govern the library board’s structure and operations. A grant application to the Federation of Canadian Municipalities under the Growing Canada’s Community Canopies initiative was also on the table, seeking funding for a community tree planting program.
Councillor Wood was appointed as deputy mayor through October 27, 2026. Administration was directed to prepare a report on e-bike safety, regulations, and infrastructure, with a deadline of fall 2026. A closed session was held to discuss the CAO contract.
