Pickering council weighed land use, contracts, and integrity report; waterfront committee receives updates only
Council meeting — agenda items pending confirmation
Pickering Council's June 22 meeting agenda included several consequential items, but official minutes have not yet been published, so outcomes cannot be confirmed.
The agenda listed a report from the Integrity Commissioner regarding Councillor Robinson, covering matters described as relating to staff corruption and residential school statements. Council was also scheduled to consider Official Plan Amendment OPA 25-004P for Seaton TFPM Inc., near Brock Road and Highway 407.

Closed session on Northeast Pickering appeals
Council held a closed (in camera) session June 22 to discuss appeals related to the Northeast Pickering Secondary Plan (Official Plan Amendment 25-003P). The session was authorized under the Municipal Act for litigation, solicitor-client privilege, and negotiation strategy. Legal advice was sought from the firm Loopstra Nixon LLP. Minutes for this session are not yet published.
Heritage Pickering Advisory Committee
The Heritage Pickering Advisory Committee met June 24 to review a memorandum proposing an amendment to the designating by-laws for the Altona Meeting House, located at 5475 Sideline 30. The committee was also scheduled to approve previous meeting minutes and handle routine business. Minutes are not yet published, so the outcome of the by-law amendment discussion is not confirmed.
Waterfront Visionary Advisory Committee — decisions confirmed
The Waterfront Visionary Advisory Committee met June 29 and made several procedural decisions, all confirmed in official minutes. The committee approved its June 29 agenda (carried) and approved the minutes of its April 15 meeting (carried).
The committee received four presentations for information only, with no motions for approval, denial, or tabling of any project:

Committee of Adjustment — July 8, 2026: A hearing is scheduled to decide five minor variance applications across Pickering. One case, MV 60/24 at 1238 Bayview Street, was tabled from August 2025. Four new applications are also on the docket: MV 37/26 at 1970 Brock Road, MV 38/26 at 498 Rougemount Drive, MV 39/26 at 1986 Bowler Drive, and MV 40/26 at 1826 Floribunda Gardens.
