Council will decide whether to award a $865,000 contract to R.J. Burnside & Associates for engineering services to upgrade the aging Ignace Water Pollution Control Plant. The project is partly funded by a provincial grant of up to $4.8 million covering 73% of eligible costs. The upgrades are needed for regulatory compliance, safety, and long-term capacity.

Regular Meeting of Council

Council will vote on several by-laws including an Indigenous Reconciliation Policy and a R-Zone Policy, receive the 2026 budget update, and decide on hiring a dedicated treasurer. Delegations from the Ignace Golf Course and Lionel Cloutier are scheduled. A closed session will address property matters, litigation, and contract negotiations.
