Thank you. Open. Okay. All right. Good evening, everyone. It's 5:30, and we're going to convene the special open council meeting. We're going to convene the special open council meeting for Tuesday, August 18th, as it's now 5:31. I'm going to call the meeting to order, acknowledging that we have online, Councillor Riddle in the room, Councillor Thomson, Councillor Newton, Councillor Paltiel, myself, Mayor Windsor. We begin by respectfully acknowledging that the land on which we gather is the traditional territory of the Saanich people, which includes Sartlip and Saot First Nations. There are no amendments to the agenda as circulated. So I could have a motion to adopt the agenda, please, or approve the agenda. Moved. Seconded. Thank you. Any discussion? Seeing none. Any opposed? None are opposed. The motion carries. Item 4.1 is a staff report. It's an administrative amendment to the zoning bylaw, which I don't know if staff want to speak to that, but yeah, go ahead. For 1903 Mount Newton Cross Road, council previously directed that residential attached be a permitted use and that the maximum height be reduced from six storeys to five storeys. These changes were inadvertently not carried forward into the final bylaw. The recommendation is to rescind the previous third reading and adoption and make the corrections corrections and th …

Thank you. Okay. So good evening everyone. We are now into our regular Council meeting for Monday, July 7th. We're a few minutes after the hour here and I'm going to officially call the meeting to order, acknowledging we have Councillor Newton joining us online this evening, all other members of Council present here in Council Chambers. I've concluded the territorial acknowledgement at our earlier meeting, so I'll look to move the approval of the agenda amended by adding the revised report and a late presentation for item 14.1.2, please. If I could have a mover and a seconder. Moved. Second. Thank you. Any discussion on the agenda? Seeing none. Any opposed? None are opposed. The motion carries. Adoption of the minutes of July 13th, public hearing and regular Council meeting. Moved. Seconded . Thank you. Any errors, omissions, or changes to the minutes? Seeing none. Any opposed? None. Carried. Business arising from the minutes, if any? Seeing none. No rise in report this evening. We do have an opportunity for public questions or feedback for the next 20 minutes, please. Good evening. Last week, Monday morning, I experienced a rather frightening experience. It was in a local coffee shop. There weren't many in it. There was myself, a friend of mine, and a mother, a few tables away with her son, and the son was busily eating ice cream. We were sitting there, and as the fellow in front of me is talking, he stopped talking and looked over my shoulder. I turned around, looked at the …

Okay. Good evening, everyone. It's Monday, July 27th, and we're starting with the special open council for this evening. I'll call the meeting to order, acknowledging we have Councillor Newton online in the room, Councillor Graham, Thompson, and Riddle. Regrets until later this evening from Councillor Paltiel, and not sure where Councillor King is just yet, but it will get underway. So we respectfully acknowledge that the land on which we gather is the traditional territory of the village people, which includes the Sartlip and Seot First Nations, and especially Prescient, as we celebrated 75 years on Saturday, and we're fortunate to have Seot Elder Mavis Underwood, among others, representing and performing at that event. Okay. So I'll ask for an approval of the agenda with an amendment to add the late report revised Appendix A and presentation to Item 4.2, please. So moved. Moved. Seconded. Anybody? Thank you. Any discussion? Any opposed? None. That carries. Motion to convene committee of the whole. Moved. Seconded. Thank you. Acknowledging normally we call upon the acting mayor to chair, but the acting mayor doesn't appear to be present presently. So if council so wishes, I'll carry on. Okay. I'll call the question. Any opposed to convening committee of the whole? None. Motion carries. 4.2 is parks and trails service review and we look for staff presentation, please. Thank you. Through the mayor, I wanted to just introduce a few staff who are here and who will be presenting …

Thank you. Now time for our regular council meeting, Monday, July 13th , 2026. I will call the meeting to order. Begin, of course, by respectfully acknowledging that the land on which we gather is the traditional territory of the Husainich people, which includes the Sartlip and Seot First Nations. And last week we signed a memorandum of understanding with the Husainich Leadership Council, which will help guide the future of our relationship with the First Nations that are under the WLC. That is Sartlip and Seicum First Nation. Okay. If I could have a motion to approve this evening's agenda with an amendment by adding late correspondence to items 11 , 2 and 13, 1. Could I also move that and ask that the item 14.12 regarding the public hearing item be moved up on the agenda ? Well, certainly. Would you like to, we'll place it under item 10? We'll make it 10.1. Yeah, that makes sense under item 10. Yeah. 14.12 will become item 10.1 with this if there's a seconder . Thank you. Any further discussion on the matter? Seeing none. Any opposed? None. And secondly, I can't find any section of the community charter that applies to …
