We acknowledge that the land now known as Canada is the traditional territory of many First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. Leduc is located on Treaty 6 land, the traditional territory of the Cree, Dene, Blackfoot, Saulteaux, and Nakota Sioux.
We recognize that as settlers who benefit from this land and from decisions made in governance, there is a responsibility to listen, learn, and act with care, and to support ongoing reconciliation through both words and actions. Respect and gratitude are offered to First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples — past, present, and future — who continue to care for this land. This acknowledgment also recognizes the longstanding presence of Two-Spirit people and affirms a commitment to equity and inclusion.
