In reviewing this application, consideration was given to the policies of the Bruce County Official Plan that pertain to surplus farm residence severances. And surplus farm residence severances are generally considered to be a benefit to the agriculture area and to the farming system because it allows the owner of the lands to be able to part with a property of a home that they no longer require for and is surplus to the needs of their farming operation.
