Good morning. Welcome to Foothills County Council meeting for Wednesday, July 8, 2026. I'll call the meeting to order. Uh we do have an agenda in front of us. Um there was um I'm sorry I don't have it in front of me. There was a couple of emergent items we were looking at. Who had those? >> B12 and B6. D12. >> So D12 that is on by Director Hemingway. So can you director, can you speak to the emergent nature of D12? >> Thank you sir. I would like to uh ask council to consider allowing this item to come before you today as it's our last council day before the August 26 meeting. And if council were to be able to provide the motion I'm requesting, it would be quite meaningful for us with respect to awarding a contract in um or beginning of August late July. So the timing of the awarding of contract does dictate that I would like council to consider this decision today. Um if without that ability we are going to um have to consider awarding the contract in the fall and that pushes our timing off quite badly. Okay. Would anybody like to give a deputy evil? Go ahead. >> I would make a motion to bring this on as an emergent item as item D12. >> Okay. We have that motion from Deputy O for adding of emergent uh D12. I don't see anybody else. All in favor? That motion carries. And then also E6 I believe director Hemingway emergent nature of this. >> Thank you. This isn't a subdivision item. We're looking for a decision on a subdivision that where council refused the land use application …

I don't think I have anything. The roads are all great. So thanks, >> Councelor Caler. Good morning, Foothills County. Um, I don't really have anything that's uh pressing other than uh couple items I've talked to uh Vienn about this morning. So, I'll pass it on. >> Councelor Alger. >> Thank you, Mr. Chair. Good morning, Foothills County. I just have a comment for public works and perhaps Mr. Stapley. The dirt hall that's happening on 549. I recall that the um the soil was if I can classify it as soil was coming out of oaks out of the waterburn and Darcy areas and I see they're coming out of the city now and they're going both ways. There's trucks coming from Oktokes and there's also trucks coming from the city and uh and I also see they're not coming out on that back road. I think it was 338. So they're now they're coming back. They're going in on 549 and coming out on 549, which is not a concern to me, but I'm just wondering about I don't know if it's a concern or like more trucks is …

So, I'll look to one of our counselors to provide a motion to get that going. Councelor Estz moves us forward for adopting the agenda. All in favor? Thank you. That motion carries. First matter up from the action items is we have some uh gentlemen joining us here today from our department. So I will go to our counselors to see if you have any questions that you'd like to raise up in this session. I'll start with councelor Kendall. Do you have anything that you'd like to bring forward? >> Thank you madam reev. Is that how I address you? Madame chair madam chair. Um, thank you for uh all the hard work uh that the crews are doing on Old Mill Road to repair the bridge out there. I drove out there Monday morning, but nothing was really happening yet, but uh the email from Mr. Galant indicated that things were going along smoothly and uh hopefully they were going to be reopening the bridge in the next day or two. Good morning and welcome to Foothills County Council meeting for April 1st, 2026. Uh being April Fool's Day, hopefully there's not too much funny business going on. I'll call the meeting to order at 9:01. First up is approval of the agenda. Uh, I haven't heard of any emergent items. So, if anybody would like to give me a motion to approve the agenda as presented from councelor. All in favor? Motion carries. Uh, let's go to our uh round table. Councelor McHugh, do you have anything for the round table this morning? >> Thank you, Mr. Chair. Good morning, Foothills. couldn't decide if I wanted to do Al Capone and inches on any given Sunday or not, but I'd be happy to come down to public works and do a safety meeting and do a little Al Capone form. Couple weeks ago, we had Vulker Stevan in here and uh they were speaking about the services they provide for the municipality. And so I corrected them and said we'd be happy if they get their development going that we'd be in there doing the services. And I I stopped there and thank goodness I did cuz uh we got our butts kicked this uh week by Vulker Stein. They had their equipment functional and were out on the roads and clearing the snow. Unlike our own public works department that apparently experienced some difficulties, um I don't get many complaints, but I had complaints this week. Uh 128, the connector between the 547 and the 552. And then uh I'm not sure what's going on. half of my division is plowed and the other half of the d …
