It's 7:01. I'll call this meeting of Lams and Towers Council back to order. We did meet for a little bit. We have a declaration of pecuniary interest, seeing none. We did have a closed session. Thank you, Your Worship. The resolution that will need a mover and seconder, that DJ Pugh be appointed to the Board of Directors of Discover Lambton Shores Corp. as the forest BIA representative. Moved by Councillor Ferguson, seconded by Councillor Dodge. Any questions? All in favor? Thank you. We have approval of the agenda. Moved by seconder. Councillor Marsh. Councillor Scott. All in favor? Thank you. Councillor reports? Oh, sorry. Councillor Scott. We had our July 1st Optimist hunt. So we thought we didn't like that idea and thought Ashley wouldn't let us have them anyways. But we, it was a great time. I mean, we had so much cake and so many people there. And even through the heat, it was perfect. The second thing that's going on in Port Franks right now is that we have a children's camp happening up in the Optim us Hall. And they're on, I guess this is day three. And they are having a blast because we had also the seniors picnic downstairs and we could hear them running around upstairs. So it …

plan policies. It's not new, it's just an implementation of intent of that plan. The key official plan sections supported include a natural tree heritage system protection, cultural heritage landscapes, climate change adaptation, community design and character, stormwater management, I'm sure you're seeing a theme here, and sustainable development. And plan 24, we believe, is the area where these OP objectives are at most risk of not being achieved. We came with recommendations. We have four of them for you. Number one is an urban tree canopy bylaw to designate plan 24 as the priority protection zone, establish permit requirements for tree removal and replacement. We'd like a heritage tree registry. I will pause here for a moment and say that BLEN, the Lakeshore Eco Network, has a volunteer tree registry. They have stepped in and are making a good effort at that. It's coming along very nicely with specific examples of trees in our area that have been registered. Our proposal at hand is a multi-criteria model. We're looking for trees that are 75 years old, have a 60 centimeter breast height diameter or greater, are cultural or historical significance, and have ecological significance. We're looking for a municipal canopy assessment. We'd like a phase one, a plan 24. We'd like a phase two of a municipally wide establishing baseline needed for canopy targets and monitoring. Finally, we'd like an urban forest management plan. We want to integrate climate adaptation, stormwater ma …

Thank you. To get started here tonight, 7 o'clock, I'd like to bring the meeting to order. I need a declaration of pecuniary interest for any items tonight. Declare it an hour at the time and file the appropriate paperwork, please. I'm looking for a motion to approve our agenda. Councillor Wilcox and Councillor McGuire, all in favour? That's carried. Thank you. Need a motion to adopt the minutes from our last council meeting? Councillor Ferguson and Councillor Scott? Any discussion? All in favour? That's carried as well. Before we start the councillor reports, I'm going to do my own and I'd like to reach out and thank our Lambton Shores Fire Department for their response to tragic fire in Grand Bend on last Friday night. The Rona store was destroyed by fire. I was there a couple times sort of observing and I was really impressed with our fire service about how calm, collected and organised they were. There was no chaos. It was just a calm, coordinated effort and I think just through their hard work and their hard training, that fire didn't spread. So I just want to express my profound thanks for their hard work. So thank you. Are there any other councillor reports? Councillor Marsh? Thank you, Deputy Mayor. You'll notice that every seat tonight at council is filled up and I'm so glad that our Worship Mayor Doug Cook is with us tonight. And Doug, we are so glad that you're with us. And hopefully you'll be back again in the driver's seat soon. But Deputy Mayor Dan Sagemann is d …
