Present. Deputy Warden Mandy Martin. How soon they forget. Present. I just, I just read what's on the page, Mandy. And, uh, Councillor Brian Ostrander. I am here. Good morning everyone. Welcome. I'm Councillor John Logel and I chair the County Social Service Committee. Before we begin today's meeting, I would like to take a moment to reflect on the grief our community continues to feel following the tragic death of Ontario Police, Provincial Police Sergeant Brandon Malcolm in the line of duty last week. Before we observe a moment of silence this morning, I would like to call on Warden Craig to say a few words. Warden. Thank you, Chair. Sergeant Malcolm carried out his duties with courage, honour and a deep commitment to protecting others. He joined the OPP as part of the Northumberland Detachment in 2020 and spent his entire career serving our community. His loss has been felt not only within the police service, but across all of Northumberland. We remain united in our gratitude for his service and our support for his family, friends and colleagues during this incredibly difficult time. On this solemn day of remembrance, as people come together for Sergeant Malcolm's funeral service to celebrate his life and mourn his tremendous loss, we hold his loved ones and colleagues in our hearts. I now invite committee members, staff and all others present to join in observing a moment of silence in honour of Sergeant Brandon Malcolm and his service to our community. Thank you. And I'll turn it back to the chair. Thank you, Warden. I'll call this meeting of the Northumberland County Social Service Committee to order at 9.32am on May 6, 2026. I'l …
