The Regional District of North Okanagan Board of Directors is meeting to consider several land-use items. The most significant is a proposal to change the land use designation and zoning of a 3.43-hectare property at 44 Ladyslipper Road in Electoral Area D from Non-Urban to Small Holding, which would allow for a small holding use. Electoral Area Advisory Committee

Regional Agricultural Advisory Committee

The Regional Agricultural Advisory Committee is meeting to review and comment on a Development Variance Permit application for an agricultural cannabis production facility at 191 Anderson Road, and to receive reports on proposed changes to food processing rules in the Agricultural Land Reserve and the revised Regional Agricultural Plan. Delegated Public Hearing - Bylaws 3037 & 3038

The Regional District of North Okanagan is holding a public hearing regarding Bylaws 3037 and 3038. These bylaws propose changing the land use designation and zoning of a 3.43 ha portion of 44 Ladyslipper Road from Non-Urban to Small Holding. If approved, the applicant intends to subdivide the property into three new lots.

Greater Vernon Advisory Committee - SPECIAL

The Greater Vernon Advisory Committee is meeting to discuss a drought update and a proposal by David Geen and John Byland to drill three emergency wells. The committee is considering a letter of support for a temporary use permit to reduce demand on the Duteau reservoirs during severe water shortages.

The Greater Vernon Advisory Committee is reconsidering a recommendation for a temporary use permit to allow David Geen and John Byland to drill three wells. The proposal aims to reduce demand on the Duteau reservoirs during severe drought conditions to prevent the death of fruit trees.

The Advisory Planning Commission will discuss and hear delegations on two applications from A. Mohammad and S. Abid: an Agricultural Land Commission application to place 409 m³ of gravel fill over a 2,046 m² driveway on ALR land at 7731 Old Kamloops Road, and a Development Variance Permit application to reduce parking stall sizes and driveway aisle widths at 7731 and 7697 Old Kamloops Road. Staff recommend the ALC application be authorized for submission to the ALC. The commission will also adopt minutes from a previous meeting.
